November 17, 2021

To: Colonial Village Retirement Community;

Residents, Families, Staff, and Trusted Partners,

The below information will apply to our Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, and Maggie’s Place Residents. This will be effective Thursday, the 18th of November.

We have been notified by CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services) to lift all indoor visitation restrictions. Per CMS, “visitation is now allowed at all times.” COVID-19 outbreak status in our community at any given time will no longer impact indoor visitation. Please see the full QSO here:

We will continue to require visitors to screen in prior to their visit. If a visitor is experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, or is positive for COVID-19 they will not be permitted to enter.

Screening will be at the concierge desk

Assisted Living and Maggie’s Place visitors will always come through the front door respectively for each location.

Skilled Nursing visitors will screen at the concierge desk during the business hours of 8:30am – 5pm. During non-business hours, please enter and be screened through the Health Care entrance, entrance D. Push the Red Assist button for assistance.
Masks are to be worn by visitors at all times when in common areas.

We will no longer require you to call ahead to schedule visits.
Visits may occur in a resident’s apartment/room. For those in in a shared room, visitors must maintain social distance from their loved one’s neighbor, wear a mask and close the curtain that divides the space.

IF a resident is unvaccinated, their roommate who is vaccinated may not have visitors in their shared space while both residents are present. Visits in this scenario may be arranged in another setting within the community.

We will no longer accompany you to your visit location, unless you need assistance finding an apartment/room. When you enter, please go straight to the apartment/room of the person you are visiting, and then exit the building immediately after your visit. It is important we limit unnecessary traffic within the community that could contribute to the spread of COVID-19.

There is not a limit to how many people can visit, length of time, or frequency.

Visitors must maintain social distancing with other residents and staff at all times.

During times of outbreak in the community, you will be notified as you have been, however, this will not impact visitation.

We will continue to adhere to our core principles of infection prevention as we work together to ensure residents receive visits per their choice at any given time.

This Pandemic has been a challenge from the very beginning. It has affected every aspect of our lives. We are incredibly excited to have visitors back in the community more frequently.
